While we’re still in school, we often hear advice about getting as much education as possible. “Stay in school as
long as you can”, is an oft-used phrase. The premise is to get as many degrees as it takes to get the best
paycheque that we can. The concept is true, as it turns out, that the more you learn the more you earn.

Studies have been conducted to determine how education affects long term earnings. According to the U.S.
Census Bureau, each additional level of academic learning equates to thousands of dollars more salary per year. Interestingly enough, it is now believed that other types of learning can also increase your income.

As millions of people are building businesses online these days, that seems like a good sector to use as an illustration of how learning outside of academia can help you to earn more.

A lot of opportunity seekers have bought into the advertised hype of get rich quick schemes. They think they can
just sign up or buy a program, slap it up online and wait for a ton of money to come rolling in. They don’t do
anything. The landing page that they made their decision to purchase from said that the whole thing would run
itself, that it would make money on autopilot while they slept.

So, they do nothing and make no money. Since the expected fortune never arrives, they deem the program or business faulty. Still after the golden goose, they jump into a different program, niche or business and do the
same thing all over again. They never bother to learn how to run a successful business. Many don’t even think
of it as a business.

The people who have made a great deal of money online or off, understand that in order to make a lot of sales,
you need to have something of value to offer customers, something that people are willing to pay for. What can
you do for others? If the answer is nothing or a shoulder shrug, the potential for high earnings is pretty much nil.

There is also the issue of trust. If a person does not take the time to learn how to brand themselves as
trustworthy, they may as well give up. People buy from people, but only if trust has been established.

The good news is that if you are serious, willing to do the work and to learn new things, you will increase your
online income. Remember, the more you learn the more you earn.

other way around. The struggle would be replaced with applying what they have learned and making money.
